I’m a writer and health advocate who is passionate about the intersections between health systems, nutrition, sustainability, equity, and social justice. I have an MPH in Health Services/Maternal & Child Health and an MFA in Creative Writing/Fiction, both from the University of Washington. I have also spent over a decade working in youth development and advocacy.
Despite what the picture might suggest, I am not mayor of San Francisco. Luckily, that means I have more time to work on writing.
Here is a profile story on me from the Northwest Center for Public Health Practice (with bonus picture of a cute sloth).
