I use tiny fragments of color and texture from old pages of The New Yorker to create impressionist images of nature. I grew up in both New York City and Seattle, and I’ve spent most of my life in the Pacific Northwest. I’m fascinated by a limiting medium that brings the city-shaped and wilderness-loving parts of me together, and recycles something inherently urban into images of nature.
